Monday afternoon, Toledo Police barricaded the home of an alleged vandal. After several hours of negotiation, SWAT attempted to force the suspect out using tear gas.

The suspect exited the home and began shooting. Officer Brandon Stalker was struck once and taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

“He was an amazing police officer. He has a fiancé and they have a very young child,”
