In Pennsylvania, three correctional officers discovered that their co-worker's daughter was just diagnosed with a very rare cancer and needs treatment. They knew they needed to do something to help.

Helping Family

Justin Gisinger, Wilfredo Mejia, and Marc Fenkner knew they needed to do something to help their co-worker's 6-year-old daughter. Fenkner said, "We are a giant family inside of there. When one of us hurts, we all hurt. So you got to step up and help your fellow comrades."

The men set up an event to not only raise money but to have a little fun too. The first "Fat & Furious 100 Yard Dash" was run on Saturday.

Those who watched the race made donations for watching the three compete against one another. All the proceeds went to Brandon Evans and his daughter, Addie.

"We put ourselves out there and made a fool of ourselves, me wearing a cape and all that, you know, just for Addie, but it could be anything more than that. Something much bigger for everyone in the world."

Addie will be receiving chemo and radiation treatment for Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma over the next 15 months, according to her GoFundMe page. The page is set up for donations to assist in covering the cost of traveling to Philadelphia and medical bills.
