The Shah should have dealt with this so called religious leader before he became sick. The biggest losers in the takeover were the women of the country. They were highly educated and held responsible jobs under the Shah.
My sister in law’s brother worked for the US Embassy school there and our government got them out of Iran before the take over. They loved it there when the Shah ran the country. They said it was a beautiful land and they liked the people.
To bad the US couldnt do same then for our people
