"On Time. On Target. Never Quit" is the motto of the Naval Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman. These special boat teams assist with amphibious missions, especially in shallow waters on coastlines and river beds.

Navy SWCCs

Navy SWCCs have an important job. They assist on a variety of missions collecting information on the enemy installations and shipping in riverine and coastal areas.

After intel is collected, they also execute raids on enemy water traffic and shipping, which is usually done in small independent teams. The SWCCs are also in charge of operating and maintaining their weapon systems, communications, all electronics, boats, and all equipment needed to perform their missions.

SWCC also has combat medics supporting the teams when combat trauma medical support is needed. The medics also serve as SWCCs.

Team Specialties

One of the main focuses of the SWCCs is providing support for the SEALS. They assist with the infiltration and exfiltration of the teams with their surface craft. With their shallow watercraft, they can quickly get in and out of impossible areas for larger ships to traverse.

Another unique capability to the SWCCs is their Maritime Combatant Craft Aerial Delivery System. The teams can insert craft into locations via parachute drop.

The Naval Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman is the modern-day version of the PT boats from World War II and Vietnam's "Brown Water Navy."

Using a combination of training in navigation, radio communications, weapons, parachuting, engineering, first aid, and combat tactics, the SWCC teams embark on worldwide missions.

The teams operate in war zones and other areas known for conflict and lend their expertise to various other missions. The SWCCS excel at getting intelligence on targets and passing that along to those who need it, making them invaluable in everchanging operations and crisis'.
