Police Helicopter Crashes, Two Officers Onboard

A Huntington Beach Police helicopter crashed in Newport Beach on Saturday evening, killing the pilot and seriously injuring the co-pilot.

The department has grounded all other helicopters for the moment:

“We need to have the current aircraft inspected to make sure there’s nothing wrong…we’re going to pull those in — they won’t fly until we do the inspection,”

These line of duty deaths are incredibly tragic, especially when they are preventable. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the Officers and the department.

    1. I really don't know what to say except for the families may God rest their sole and bring peace and strength to the families friends and neighbors. I hate to see good cops go now more than ever we need them . With all the garbage going on today in OUR COUNTRY!!! AND WE DO HAVE MANY BAD cops showing up in towns around here where I live . Most every new one has to be of the leftist nature . We will be in trouble if we lose OUR GOOD ONES !!!
MY FAMILY AND NEIGHBOR'S PRAYERS ARE WITH THE THOSE WHO'S LIVES HAVE BEEN HURT BADLY BY THESE ACCIDENTS THAT HAPPEN IN A BLINK OF AN EYE. HOPEFULLY PAIN WAS NOT A FACTOR TO THE FALLEN . GOD BLESS
