The far-left, anti-Police activists have defunded Police departments and emboldened criminals against the men and women in blue. So it comes as no surprise that the murder of Police spiked to nearly 60% in 2021.
A quick examination of Law Enforcement murders by the numbers:
- 2018: 66
- 2019: 59
- 2020: 59
- 2021: 79
Keep in mind that 2020 was the year everyone was locked down. This means Police contacts were down significantly and that 2021 saw a crime surge partly influenced by continued COVID policies. However, this was also the year that Police budgets were slashed to the bone and supposed public servants were chanting "All Cops Are Bad".
The FBI is finally admitting that we should be alarmed by these numbers, though FBI Director Christopher Wray danced around the issue on 60 Minutes recently:
It was disappointing that Wray did not mention even once the riots and violence perpetuated by radical activists over the last few years. However, one statement Wray made stands out clear as day: "wearing a badge should not make you a target."
While Wray tried to place blame elsewhere, such as on COVID or more juveniles committing violent crime, he was absolutely right to state that wearing a badge should never be a reason why a community loses a hero.
Unfortunately, there is no doubt that a war is being waged on Police in America. It's time that politicians and communities rally around Law Enforcement officers. They must support law and order instead of enabling and freeing criminals.
The hundreds of thousands of Law Enforcement officers across the United States deserve better. They put their lives on the line daily to get bad guys off the streets and keep communities safe. These men and women deserve to be supported, both emotionally and financially.
The politicians who would take away funding from Law Enforcement and funnel it to enabling and freeing criminals need to go. If they cannot support law and order, they have no business running our cities.

Agreed, the policies they enact are responsible, but SO are the individuals' families who teach their kids they don't have to respect authority, or be held accountable for criminal acts, & the communities who become mobs to defend the criminals from due justice!

If we had an honorable and strong POTUS, a lot of things like the police problems would not exist. It is not too late for the police to become more active and supported. If enough money were applied to each and every police Department, and the police unions allowed to work, we may see a good return.
However, those people like mayors and governors who supported defunding and the far left ideologies should be removed, if not put in jail for their crimes to America.
UNIONS need to go, especially public service unions; they cause far more problems than they "fix"!

Part of a free society means accountability for 1's own actions, without which what the society becomes is anarchy, not freedom. Accountability means those who commit crimes must be held to account for those crimes. Civilized societies hire law enforcement officers (police) to insure those who violate laws are brought before judges & juries, who determine guilt or innocence, then assign penalties. Those who believe they should not be held to account for their crimes, & consequently resist arrest, resulting in their deaths are accountable for their own deaths, not the police who were forced to act by the threat those posed to their ( police) or others' lives!
Yes a small percentage of police officers are "bad apples" who should not have been hired, but that gives NO ONE a "right" to declare "open season" on all cops. That should be taken up through lawful channels with the department in question, not vigilantes, or "kangaroo courts" threatened with mass violence if they FAIL to ruin the mob-designated cop's life, regardless his actual criminal guilt! That's NOT "justice" for anyone, it's MOB rule, & mobs always rule badly!
ANYTIME LAW ENFORCEMENT goes against the constitution and OUR Rights its war time. This ain't the old west good guys WARE a white hat and bad ware black. If you believe in our Constitution, it includes a thing called "rule of LAW", & OPPOSES vigilante "justice". Cops are not, by & large, the "bad guys"; their job IS to uphold, & enforce the laws, even when they disagree with those laws! (I'd be LOUSY at that, myself.) The "enemies" you want to go after are those who formulate & pass the bad laws at all levels, from city councils to Congress, & who thus set policy for the LEOs at all levels. Most cops are very decent & caring people who prefer "citizen assist" calls to every other type. We hire them to deal with the law breakers, but then we vote law breakers into positions of authority over the police as well as the citizens. How does that make sense??? At least direct your outrage against the correct people. But the best way is to attend your local legislators' meetings (those are governed by open meeting laws), & address the issues as they come up, or ask to get an issue on their agenda (there's a process for that too)! You COULD even run for a seat, but GET involved! Make your face & vote known, get acquainted with the support people too, the fire & police chieves, the punlic works people, etc. Let them know when things crop up, like clogged sewers or broken water pipes, malfuntioning traffic lights or crossing signals, etc; shows you care about your community. You'd be amazed at the impact a citizen can make, just showing up regularly...

If you think about several Presidents ago, when George W Bush was President. Law Enforcement was praised in the wake of 9/11 and after affects. Then we go into the Obama era. A Police Officer shot and killed a teenage robbery suspect who fought the Officer and tried to take his gun. The Obama Administration sent the Feds into investigate and that sit the country on fire because the Obama’s praised people getting out protesting, rioting and looting, oh yea and burning businesses to the ground in there own communities. From that point the war on Law Enforcement was started and the government backed the ones doing it. BLM and ANTIFA was formed. Several politicians jumped in and backed these organizations that were committing this destruction. Billions of dollars in destruction and numerous individuals including Law Enforcement ended up being victimized by these rogue groups saying they were fighting for the injustice of black people. The strange part of this is all the while these organizations were fighting for colored people there where record numbers of black on black crimes being committed. Places like Chicago, New York and even Jackson, MS seen record numbers of black on black homicides. Then the Democratic Party jumped in with these groups and called for the defunding the Police and helped BLM raise millions and millions of dollars. Looking back the funny part is the founders of BLM took the money and bought mansions and are living the high life. The government let this group set up a nonprofit organization and have yet held them accountable for the millions or probably billions of dollars. Major corporations even donated millions and no accountability for the money. Now these corporations have seen it’s all bogus and they have pulled funding. So saying all of this the Obamas is where it started and the Democrats jumped in and it’s been a down hill spiral and Law Enforcement still has a target on their backs and the government is doing nothing to correct the problem at hand.
