And we should have had Nixon and Goldwater for presidents then.
I have known many people who served in Vietnam and it was sad to see that many died for nothing, were mentally screwed up or became drug addicts so the politicians could get rich. After WWII that the US has never won a war. I am not sure that we even really won WWII.
Not precisely true. We won Tet, contrary to Cronkite's blatant lie to the American public; with a few months' mop- up we would have had Vietnam won, but the victory & most of the 58+ K names on that wall were thrown away, by politicians & the PTB pulling their strings.
