Medal of Honor: U.S. Marine Medic Held Off Brutal Enemy Assault While Treating The Wounded – Refused To Let His Men Die

During a fierce battle in Quang Ngai Province, South Vietnam, Navy corpsman Robert Ingram managed to render aid to wounded Marines while simultaneously holding off a brutal enemy assault.

His heroic actions under intense enemy fire resulted in being awarded the Medal of Honor. He was nominated for the prestige by his company’s men, who requested that his recommendation be reevaluated after it was initially denied.

Thankfully, the review was successful and he was properly recognized for his incredible actions above and beyond the call of duty.
