BREAKING: Sacramento County Deputy Shot

A 15 year veteran of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office has been shot, hospitalized after a harrowing encounter.

The shooting suspect has been pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sgt. Kionna Rowe, a Sacramento County Sheriff spokeswoman.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Deputy and the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.
