It takes a special kind of courage to run into situations as everyone else runs away. Thankfully, Military service members and First Responders do this kind of thing daily, saving countless lives.
Firefighters in Suffolk Virginia demonstrated this courage Wednesday when responding to a fire that was quickly escalated to three alarms.
On arrival, the firefighters found heavy flames involving the structure. They quickly realized that there were several people trapped inside. Working with Police, the Firefighters got to work.
After a heart stopping search, the First Responders located and extracted two children from the structure. The children were both suffering from smoke inhalation and were transported to a local hospital.
Several Firefighters were also treated for smoke inhalation, though everyone is expected to make a full recovery.
There are few Countries in the world with First Responders as dedicated, professional and skilled as those in the United States. With this in mind, it is critical that these heroes are supported both by civilian leadership and the communities they protect.

I do not think they get the support they need, and it is a shame that we call on them to do what we can't and still treat them like they are not important.
just think about it the next time you see them, thank them for what they do. A little gratitude goes along way to show them they are a special breed of hero's.

No they don't get the credit or support they so deserve. When ever i see a police officer in a store or gas station I will tell them I'm so thankful to have them and I so appreciate them. If i see them stopped along the highway I will honk and wave at them. The government needts to show a little support for them but no they use them for their chopping block. It will be so nice when the midterms get here and we can get the scum out of office and take our country back. GOD BLESS ALL THE FIRST RESPONDERS.

No. They catch hell for every mistake but the thousands of good things they do go unappreciated.
No they don’t the leftist idiots just want to defund them all but then they cry foul when no help comes m, so no these men and women who put their lives on the line are never recognized by the few! I thank Gid we have these people in our lives every day! Thank You for your Dedication and Service!!!
Our first responders are doing a great job and do not get the recognition they deserve. Both my daughter (a teacher) and son-in law (a firefighter) have been involved in horrific violence, at the Las Vegas massacre.
