Four people were killed and nine others were injured when a gunman opened fire in a bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
The shooter is also dead, police said.

A citizen with a handgun would have been able to end the shooting at the onset. However, government in NYS goes out of its way to restrict.a citizen's right to carry. We had a security detail at our church and some licensed members would carry when working until NYS made it a felony to carry in a church. So now if someone comes into the church and starts shooting attendees we can try to dodge bullets until the shooter runs out of ammunition.
At leased here in Michigan local clergy can authorize members to carry and use deadly force if necessary !! We've gone through training with local law enforcement on what and when to do.. So far we have not been restricted by our governor YET!!
If there was a person armed in the bank most everybody could have been saved. However SOME people with CCW weapons will also freeze up thinking that they'll have to kill someone. If that CCW person is practice and has some training on what to do!! Only the shooter will be the dead person!
To have a CCW you MUST have the mindset to accept the responsibility to use it to save yourself or others if necessary. To hesitate will be disaster plain and simple!
Otherwise, why have a CCW at all!
Ban ALL GUNS! This is nonesense good guy, bad guy with guns. There's no such thing. It is no different than taking a pea shooter from a child in a classroom. ALL GUNS NEED TO BE BANNED!!!!
Banning all guns will do nothing but have the bad people able to kill at will. The most important thing is then the federal government can rule over the populace as it wants. The founding fathers put into place the second amendment for just that reason. You may not like guns. But it is guns and men and woman that gave you the freedom to think and act as you wish. With out them we would be under the thumb of a dictatorship.
Banning guns would make innocent people even more vulnerable. Calif has the strictest laws for guns and one of the highest shootings whether it's mass, drive-by or an argument gone bad. WE NEED TOUGHER LAWS! MAKE THE PUNISHMENT FIT THE CRIME. These shootings happen because they know if they don't get killed, they will go to jail, maybe...and be out in a few years. Once a person makes the choice to fire a gun at someone or a crowd, they loose any and all rights to live with innocent people. No 20 yrs and appeals, the death penalty to be carried out no longer then 5 yrs. If they shot a cop, to be carried out within 1 year. Taking away our guns will only work for people that follow the law.
A good guy with a gun would have taken him out before he could have killed many people
