Police Officers Save 7-Year-Old Girl Suffering from Cardiac Arrest

In a remarkable display of valor and quick thinking, two Sterling Heights police officers, Officer Colton Conley and Officer Ryan Hartsmith, saved the life of a 7-year-old girl who went into cardiac arrest following an asthma attack.

The officers arrived on the scene to find the child unconscious and not breathing. They immediately took over CPR from a bystander and successfully revived the girl, who was later reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital.

The Call for Help and Immediate Response

The Sterling Heights police and fire departments received a distress call around 4 p.m. on a Wednesday. The call was about a 7-year-old girl who was not breathing in the 5600 block of Amberwood. The officers arrived and found a female bystander already administering CPR. Without wasting any time, Officers Conley and Hartsmith took over and began providing life-saving breaths to the unresponsive child.

The 911 recording captured the child's mother, Quanisha Walton, screaming hysterically. Despite the emotional intensity of the situation, the officers maintained a calm demeanor.

Body cam footage showed them arriving about two minutes after the call and immediately beginning work on the child.

Their composed actions under intense circumstances were nothing short of heroic.

The Aftermath and Ongoing Recovery

After the officers administered CPR, firefighters arrived and took over the life-saving care. The child was then transported to an area hospital where she is now doing well and reported to be in stable condition. Battalion Chief Jeff Duncan mentioned that seeing the girl respond to their efforts "was pretty awesome."

Police Lt. Mario Bastianelli praised the officers and the first responders, stating, "We train together, as a team for moments like this to be able to save the lives of the citizens that we serve." This of course is becauSe of the miracle of the LOrd placing the right officers there at the right time for a quick reponse...kudos to the officers ... kindness, skill, knowledge and a life saved instead of taken because thse radical WOKE and DEM politicians want officers defunded...how stupid people can be and how ashamed of themselves they sould be.
    I am pleased for the knowlege and the life of this little girl being saved...
