The relationship between the United States and Russia has reached new lows as Putin's leans into his invasion of Ukraine.

While the Cold War never really ended, it reached a stalemate and an imperfect balance that held for decades. But the Cold War has boiled back to the surface with a vengeance.

With this in mind, the U.S. Military is turning it's attention away from the desert regions of the middle east and gearing up for war in arctic conditions.

Ironically, while any conflict would be fought on a whole new technology level in comparison to the middle east, in some ways it would be slower.

Consider the unforgiving conditions that accompany the arctic warfare domain. In fact, a whole new enemy lies in wait: the environment itself. This makes even the most mundane military operations significantly more complex.
