Emergency crews responded to a deadly accident after reports of a vehicle runningn a red light at high speeds colliding with 6-8 vehicles.

Witnesses on scene said a van began passing vehicles on the wrong side of the road and ran a red light before the collision.

Several off duty nurses as well as emergency personnel immediately ran to the scene and began providing emergency treatment to the patients involved. Paramedics and firefighters quickly responded and upon arrival located several vehicles with severe damage after a high speed impact.

Paramedics immediately requested life flight, but the helicopter crews were already in service.

Firefighters worked on extracting occupants out of two vehicles while Police directed traffic.
