Don’t let brain dead Joe get near our Navy him or Milley or the secretary of defence
I was assigned to the Constellation CVA 64 from '69 thru '71. Makes me a little homesick.
Recall exp Family Day on USS Constellation off CA then for Flight Ops
F4s, A4, A3, E3s, F8s, during Vietnam War
Worked flight deck for VA 52, VA 115, VS 21, VF154. Deck is to clean vests and helmets also. No stack gas. Miss seeing many different type of aircraft A6, EA6B, A7, E2, COD, F4, F14, S2. Have worked on CV41, CV63, CV14,CV61, and CV60 for deployments and/or full tours. At time when I watch flight ops have to think of water hours, lack of veggies, real milk, 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, hopping that laundry will come back, 3 minute showers. No phone home till in port, Mail hit and miss. When asked would I do 27 years in navy again well I would. but then I am a old shellback/SCPO just an old salt I guess.
