 January 10, 2024

The Special Air Service (SAS) is a special forces unit of the British Army. The unit specializes in a number of roles including counter-terrorism, hostage rescue, direct action and covert reconnaissance.

Much of the information about the SAS is highly classified, and the unit is not commented on by either the British government or the Ministry of Defense due to the secrecy and sensitivity of its operations.

Christian Craighead, a member of the elite and secretive SAS, responded to and stopped a terror attack in Nairobi, Kenya on January 16, 2019. He received the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his actions that day.

The four bad guys who took on the luxury Dusit D2 complex were eliminated. 21 innocent people lost their lives and a year later, another woman succumbed to her injuries sustained during the event.

It is undisputed that countless more lives would have been lost if it weren't for the heroic actions of Craighead.
