A U.S. Marine Commander has filed charges against a General for the failings in Kabul. Of course, this painted a target on his back and he has since been relieved of his command for demanding accountability.
While many in the Military are expected to shut up and obey orders, Commanders are expected to hold leadership accountable in both directions.
It was this mans responsibility to ensure the rank and file is on target and that the brass has the Corp's back.
Unfortunately, leaders like this one are being forced out of the military. We hope it doesn't go too far, or else National Security itself will be in jeopardy.
