The Battle Of Medina Ridge, Desert Storm - U.S. Marines Seize International Airport

February 27-28 1991, Desert Storm - VII Corps finds the Medina Republican Guard Division dug in behind the crest of a hill, and the violent Battle of Medina Ridge erupts.

After a difficult approach, U.S. Marines take the Kuwait City International Airport without much resistance.

Kuwaitis march into their own capital, celebrating their liberation and the race to destroy the last of the Republican Guard before they can escape, is on.

    I was there. 4/66 AR 3rd infantry division attached to 1st AR. Served on an Abrams.
