The state of affairs in New York has gone from bad to worse for Law Enforcement officers. On New Years Eve into New Years Day of 2022, multiple officers were slated for back-to-back shifts.
One such officer ended his first shift at 2:30AM and was scheduled to start the next shift barely 4 hours later, so he decided to rest in his car since the department dorms were full.
After sleeping for a few hours, he awoke to a bullet to the head. He was rushed to surgery to remove bullet fragments from his fractured skull. Fortunately, it was a grazing wound and it didn’t take his life.
