Off Duty Medics Witness Horrible Accident, Jump In To Help

 January 16, 2022

The thing about working as a first-responder is that you can't turn off the instinct to help others. This was demonstrated by Paramedics Jason Gifford and Erin Jones, an engaged couple, when they came upon the scene of an accident on their way home from a New Years Eve celebration.

The couple encountered some heavy traffic and when they investigated further, they found an elderly couple on the ground. Rita and Bob, married retirees, had been struck by a car as they were crossing the street.

Before the ambulance arrived, the paramedic couple rendered aid to the seniors.

While it is tragic that the seniors were injured, they are expected to make a full recovery. This is a heartwarming example of how amazing our first responders
