 January 17, 2023

In 2017, a group of U.S. Special Forces, Army Infantry, and Afghan Commandos fought their way through a mountain range in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, which was controlled by ISIS.

The footage below, captured from the soldiers' helmet cameras, shows them using a variety of weapons, including vehicle-mounted weapons, rifles, and rocket launchers, while being supported by coalition airstrikes and mortar fire.

The video is part of a 20-minute combat compilation that was uploaded by W. Smith ABLE CO. 1-36th INF 1/1AD during his deployment in the area.

It should be noted that the famous GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) was dropped on an ISIS-Khorasan cave complex in the Achin District of Nangarhar Province during this time period.
